Webwag Launches WOD: Widgets on Demand

Webwag announced this morning that they have launched a new service called Widgets On Demand (WOD). Webwag innovates radically by offering with WOD a new technology which allows the user to simply select, with the aid of the mouse, a zone within a web site in order to transform it instantaneously into a widget, independently of the presence of any RSS feeds.

Franck Poisson, founder of Webwag, stated at WOD's launch: "Within 3 years, one web user in two will have his personalized and self-made access page to the Web. Most of the web sites will be 'widgetised', because it is the basic expectation of the Internet users and an inescapable trend in the way of consuming the Web. The WOD technology anticipates this evolution by simplifying the life of users!"

Two issues with widgets today:
- If the site elected by a web user does not have direct RSS feeds (which is the case for approximately from 70 up to 90% of the existing web sites today!), he or she will not be offered the possibility to access it through a widget.
- The widgets proposed today cover 0.0000032% of the most popular World Wide Web pages... 8000 widgets are proposed by the largest platforms but there are approximately 25 billion pages considered as most popular... (cf. Google Index).
WOD(TM) allows potentially billion of widgets to be created!
With WOD, Webwag proposes user-generated widgets (see the WOD's 3 steps creation below) and allows user to free himself from the restricted number of widgets imposed by the larger players of the web and the competing widget platforms.
