What’s Up Seattle?
I will be in Seattle from Monday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon this week attending the Search Marketing Expo and would love to meet some Seattle-based startups. Send me an email if you’d like to meet (myfirstname – at – centernetworks.com)
I am looking forward to traveling from the airport to the hotel on the Seattle city bus system for a travel report on InsideTransit. I assume a trip to the top of the space needle is also a requirement for a first-timer to Seattle? Any other suggestions on must-do touristy-type Seattle-area excursions?
If there is interest, we could do a meetup on Tuesday evening – leave a note if you are interested. Also please suggest some locations — preferably in downtown Seattle. Garage has pool tables – perhaps I could bring my Brooklyn game and school ya’all!
Fun fact: The Space Needle elevators weigh 14,000 pounds each with a capacity of 4,500 pounds. The counter-weight weighs 40 percent more than the elevator fully loaded. Each elevator carries 25 people. Two of the Space Needle elevators are high speed and can travel at a rate of 10 mph, or 800 feet per minute. Actual travel time from the ground level to the top-house is 43 seconds.

space needle is neat – it is about $15 dollars to go to the top
Certainly stopping by Pike Market is a must (be sure to watch out for the flying fish!)
Plenty of Tech startups to be seen in Pioneer Square just a few blocks down from there.
Have a great time and enjoy the beautiful Seattle weather! Don’t let them trick you with tall tales about gray skies and drizzle!
Yo Allen. I’ll followup under separate cover, but we’ve got a good startup scene here in Seattle. I’ll help you hookup a meetup on Tuesday night.
Allen, Daryn -
Would welcome an opportunity to connect on Tuesday night; I will send a note to each of you.
