Another Look At Wishlistr
One of the first reviews on Cn was Wishlistr. Wishlistr is a tool out of Sweden that helps you create wishlists (duh). Since we are fast approaching the holiday time, I thought it might be good to see what's new. Check out our initial review as well.
This site is the most Ajax'y of the wishlist sites out there. They have recently added OpenID access and more options in creating a wishlist. Over 100k wishlists have been created on Wishlistr. A variety of new templates including seasonal ones (where's Hanukkah?!?!) are available. There are friends options as well.
What I would like to see now is a simple product search on the top online stores. Instead of making me go to Amazon, search and copy a url, allow me to search for an item on Wishlistr. And where is the Facebook application? Wishlistr could easily kick ass during holiday time if they had one.
Here is a wishlist I created for products we are looking for on CN. If anyone is interested in helping us out, I'd be interested in bartering advertising for any item.
I actually work at a price comparison site (spotcost.com), and it would be a good feature match indeed. Just being able, if you really want people to buy you the thing, to find the lowest price immediately, would help a lot.
Wishlistr could use the Shopping.com API for it, and Lord knows I should have built a whishlist on our own site ages ago, but on both sides it's tough to find the extra time when you're still trying to get the core system working perfectly.
Great point - just because someone links to amazon, doesn't mean the buyer needs to buy it there. Offering the choice of the lowest price/other merchants would be a good addition!
If I had a dime for everytime I heard that question, I would have made one already :)

Amazing Wishlist does it for facebook. You get your amazon wishlist up, and your friends see whenever you add something. They will also be notified when you have a birthday coming up. How cool is that?
You can also get Wishpot for Facebook. It includes most of the features of wishpot.com and the accounts are linked.
I've been using Baggle.com for the past few years. They have a browser plugin for IE, which is nice if you don't primarily use Firefox.
a lot of the feature that people are asking are included in Wishpot.com. They do have a built in price comparison (powered by shopping.com), they have mobile support and a fairly rish social network. I have been using it for a couple of months and it's very cool.
Come holiday season they are going to get slammed.
