Yahoo! oneConnect To "Reinvent" Mobile Communications
Yahoo! is announcing the launch of "oneConnect" today at the Mobile World Congress 2008 conference. oneConnect is expected to become available in the award-winning Yahoo! Go 3.0 and Yahoo!’s new mobile home page in Q2 2008.
Yahoo! oneConnect is designed to include the following features: socially-connected address book, integrated mobile messaging, pulse, favorites and a social contact card. The service will bring together the following social networks initially: Bebo, Dopplr, Facebook, Flickr, Friendster, hi5, Last.fm, LinkedIn, MySpace, and Twitter.
The service will, of course, be "open" allowing for the use of whatever mail tool you use (gmail, hotmail, etc.), IM options, and the team is working on Microsoft Exchange connectivity.
Based on the screenshot below, apparently only hot women use oneConnect.
