Yahoo! releases Top Searches for 2006
Yahoo! has released its Top Searches for 2006. So I know you are wondering, which one of the new celeb trio, Paris, Britney or Lindsay was #1? Did K-Fed make the list? What about a product like iPod? Or Web 2.0? I can tell you this, we don't use the internet for research as much as we thought. Unless our research is looking for gossip.
I think it also shows that maybe as a country we are not as intelligent as we would like to believe. Either that or we just use the Internet for relaxation which equates to pictures of a crotchless Britney.
Here is a direct link to the full list which includes the following lists:
- Top Searches - Britney takes top spot, Shakira to 4th
- Top News Story Searches - Anna Nicole's son dies is higher than Iraq
- Top 10 Celebrity Searches - basically same as top searches
- Top 10 Celebrity Baby Searches
- Top 10 TV Show Searches - Deal or No Deal at 5 - though it is in multiple countries now, I saw it in Mexico last week
- Top 10 Blog/Blogger Searches - Perez Hilton at number one
- Top 10 Sports Team Searches - NY Yankees #1 - yep!
- Top 10 Politician Searches - Bush 1, Foley 6
- Top 10 Song Lyric Searches - My Humps 2, Beep 6
- Top 10 Movie Searches - Star Wars 4, Borat 10
C'mon people - let's try for the 2007 list, that we show our intelligence. Just one in the Top 10 I am looking for to be something other than a celebrity.
