yourminis webtop provides some updates and enhancements

I woke up this morning and went over to yourminis and sure enough, things are different! yourminis is a webtop -- that is a combination of the desktop and a web browser. What I like about it is that once you set it up the way you want, you can access it from anywhere. Certainly makes life easier when you are using public terminals.

I immediately emailed Alex Bard, yourminis CEO. He sent me an email back (5am pst!) with the following:

We made an update last night with a séries of enhancements including a new default start page (sign out or clear your cookies and you will see it), a new cleaner add content bar, more minis including adding videos to the slideshow mini, a drawing mini, a video mini, email notifications for comments on your public pages, a list of most recent viewers on your public pages, ability to add favorite people in the community and more.

I still remember the time when (at my former employer) we launched our first personalized home page for the Intranet. It was in the late '90s and was completely boring honestly. Yes, we had 100 modules but it was static to some extent. When I look at yourminis, it is just an amazing product compared to that original version. It is alive, it is functional, it is good looking, etc.
