YouTube is Down

FYI, it appears that YouTube is down. Please check our post from the last time YouTube was down with a variety of alternative suggestions. We will keep updating this post as we learn more and please report in if it’s down where you are as well.

I can’t access any of YouTube’s videos. I can get on the site, but no videos come up at all. What’s going on??

No YouTube all day in Phoenix. Suggested alternative address of http://208.65.153.251/ does not help, it just gets me to the “IE Cannot Display the Web Page” a little bit faster. Nothing all day. I don’t know who Larry Sinclair is, nor do I care. Drop a brick on him if he’s in the way. I just want my Ramones videos. Gabba gabba hey.
Youtube Is Back Up Here In Glasgow At 21:09 :D
Is the same here in Spain local time 20.52 and no You Tube here have also noticed in my facebook profile none of my you tube vids are showing up on there. Anyone got any ideas or links to as what is going on yet ??¿¿??¿¿

Hi its 20.07 in London on 24 Feb 2008. Youtube seemed to be working till lunch time and now when I try to open it the request just times out, nothing opens!!!
I don’t think it’s a coincidence why youtube is down. Just last night that video of Larry Sinclair, and Barack Obama got REAL POPULAR! Basically overnight it had 1/2 million hits!
Since youtube is obviously Pro-Obama I don’t think they want it to get out before tonight’s debate. If you guys think i’m kidding go to WhiteHouse.com Larry Sinclair has already passed a polygraph, and drug test!

I already gave an answer. YouTube is not down for technical reasons. It’s most likely down to keep certain videos out of the news.
One of those videos is the Larry Sinclair video that recently got huge! Obama has a debate tonight with Hillary Clinton. C’mon man 1+1=2
Youtube is down again
The server is fine
but the dns entries to the site are not.
If you can connect to youtube it will only be for a while until your local dns servers update. Youtube does not have any entries in any of the root nameservers.
As of 7:20AM Pacific Daylight Time (I live in the US West), YouTube is back. DNS resolves properly.

It’s not down it seems, just really twitchy. I’ve tried for half an hour now to get access and no luck, previously today it was up and down.
