Zoho launches Zoho Wiki

ZohoZoho, the online office application tools suite, has launched Zoho Wiki this morning. The tool appears to be just as strong as the other Wiki platforms currently on the market. Arvind sent me a note outlining the features which include:

  • All standard Wiki features
  • A powerful WYSIWYG editor
  • Grouping functionality where your
Wiki can be viewed and/or edited by a selected group of members
  • Embedding of objects into your Wiki pages like a Zoho Sheet chart, a Zoho Show slide show, a Zoho Creator application/form or a YouTube video.

Check out my October interview with Zoho evangelist, Raju Vegesna.

The Zoho Wiki product certainly looks better than the standard Wiki software. The best feature from the Zoho Wiki is the ability to sync all of the Zoho applications together. So you embed a text document or a spreadsheet into a Wiki page and then when you edit either doc, the Wiki is updated as well. This certainly will save time and effort and will be excellent for keeping everything up-to-date and in sync.

Zoho is mainly developed in India with a very small team in the U.S. This allows them to keep the prices lower than other competing services which use U.S. labor.

I am very impressed with this application and with their entire suite. It will be interesting to see what comes next from the Zoho team!
